We prefer to use as many recycled objects as possible, for example items found while Mudlarking such as 100 year old bottles and jars, broken clay pipes and some broken patterned pieces of pottery. Also charity shop finds.

All recycled items are thoroughly cleaned before use.

We craft in a smoke free environment.

What is Mudlarking

Mudlarking used to be how the poorest of the poor tried to earn money in the 18th & 19th centuries. They would look through the mud along rivers for items of value that had been thrown away or lost to hopefully sell.

Mudlarks today look for items from all eras as collectors or to use in crafts as we do.

Many of todays mudlarks search old rubbish tips, riversides & even beaches, some are also bottle diggers looking for vintage bottles & jars as well as other vintage items such as toys, pottery, clay pipes, even clothes & coins.

Personally we find it very relaxing & also exciting with each new find.
